Music Video Shoot Venue in San Francisco

Venue 412 main floor with dual LED panel walls, configured for a music video shoot in San Francisco

Venue 412 hosts music video shoots, EPK production, behind-the-scenes content, and editorial photo days at 412 Broadway in San Francisco. The dual LED panel walls flanking the stage area function as a built-in dynamic backdrop for performance shots — no rented video walls, no setup fees, no separate vendor. The professional lighting rig — Martin Atomic 3000 strobes, Chauvet COLORband wash fixtures, ADJ Vizi Beam moving heads, controlled via Hog 4 PC — handles cinema-grade lighting demands. Two independent levels mean multiple shooting locations in a single booking: dance-floor sequences on the main floor, intimate close-ups on the mezzanine, performance shots against the LED panels, transitional B-roll in the lobby and bar areas. Two private dressing rooms and an artist green room give talent prep space; side load-in handles gear, grip, and crew traffic without disrupting the venue.

Music Video Shoots at Venue 412 — FAQ

Can we bring in our own lighting and grip team?
Yes. Producers regularly bring in additional lighting equipment, grip, and DPs to augment or replace the venue's lighting rig for the shoot. The existing rig can be used as a base, programmed as part of the shoot setup, or temporarily overridden. Side load-in accommodates production trucks and gear carts.
What's the ceiling height — can we hang lighting trusses?
Main-floor ceiling clearance is approximately 18 feet at the highest points and varies down to 14 feet near the existing lighting truss. The truss supports additional fixtures up to its rated load; freestanding lighting stands and floor-set fixtures are also accommodated. Specific clearance and load requirements are reviewed during the planning process.
Do you have power for additional production gear?
Standard 110V outlets are distributed throughout both levels and the load-in area. Higher-amperage power for additional lighting or heavy-load gear can be arranged with advance notice. Production teams typically share their power requirements during the planning call so we can prep the appropriate connections.
Can we shoot late into the night or overnight?
Yes. Music video shoots often run late — alcohol service caps at 2 AM, but the venue itself can be booked for production work past that, including overnight shoots. Late-night and overnight extensions are coordinated through the planning process and depend on the day of the week.
